Kinawley booked their place in the final of this years Intermediate Football Championship with a ten point victory over Erne Gaels in Lisnaskea on Friday Evening. This was a much tougher test of the senior team then the final score line reflects as it was Erne Gaels who had the best of the first half and lead by a point at the break.

However a half time grilling seemed to do the trick as the Brain Borus went about putting Erne Gaels to the sword in the second half with Shaun Doherty and Sean Leonard taking control around the middle of the park. Up front there was fine displays from both corner forwards Tomas Corrigan and Shay Keenan.  A sound defensive display from the backline display saw Erne Gaels restricted to a solitary point in the second half as Kinawley ran out eventual winners 1-14 to 0-07.
