Kinawley 2-06 Roslea 1-11 (JFC) PDF Print E-mail
Written by The Gaffer

Kinawley Juniors had a semi-final place in the Championship cruelly snatched from them deep in injury time. Ciaran Crudden & Fintan Carey got goals in either half for Kinawley in a game where Kinawley were in the lead till the final minute.

In a game played in very wet conditions Kinawley were the stronger of the two teams in the first half & went in a goal up. Top of Division 1 Roslea were made to fight to the end by a dogged Kinawley team who kept them at bay and were a point in the lead in extra time but for a cruel disputed goal in the 39th minute of the second half stole a semi-final place from within their grasp. Kinawley should take great heart from this performance and continue in their push for promotion.
